Select is not case sensitive by default
SELECT * FROM myTable WHERE 'something' = 'Something'
= 1
To make it case sensitive use a select with binary
SELECT * FROM myTable WHERE BINARY 'something' = 'Something'
//or
SELECT * FROM myTable WHERE 'something' = BINARY 'Something'
= 0
