Being interviewed by a reasonably experienced interviewer is reasonably easy even if you have no interview experience at all. This is because you can look at them and follow their lead to make the interview a normal conversation.

Radio is much harder when you need to talk on you own an try to make listeners feel like you’re having a conversation with them without being able to see them.

A good trick when recording on you own it to use a photo of someone and talk to them as if they were there. Some experimentation may be needed for the best photo / person to do use for this. This goes against some experts advice who say you should try to create an imaginary persona to target, but for newbies it can be useful to use someone you know well instead to make your own performance better and more natural.

With your person in mind you can work on creating something to be seen or heard by someone real, someone you want to convince to buy the product or service by focusing on ways it will make their life easier.
